Uruguay also has a lot of US where amethysts have been found, but a few of those include Yellowstone National Park, Delaware County in Pennsylvania, and Haywood County in North Carolina. The few deposits of amethyst in the US are small, but very wide spready out and randomly pocketed in certain geographical areas.
